Professional Camcorder Cases

These Compact Camera Cases (CCC's) are crafted to offer the best protection for your camera. Designed to hold a camera with battery and lens installed, the CCC line is fully streamlined with no protruding pockets or bulges. The CCC's have the Modi-Vers System, which can be placed width-wise in the case for a custom fit. It holds the camera securely in the case and creates a compartment for accessories. Each CCC bag comes with ample internal and external pockets. Aluminum Staves reinforce the CCC to protect the viewfinder and on-camera mic.

The CCC-1 and the larger MCC-2 are designed to hold full-sized camcorders with the battery and lens installed.

CCC-1
The CCC-1 is designed to hold a camera with battery and lens installed. Features include the Modi-Vers divider system, YELLOOP fabric interior, Toblerone shock absorbers, interlocking handles and the APSS shoulder strap (see KATA overview page for detailed description of these features. An aluminum stave reinforces the top flap to protect the viewfinder and on-camera mic. High-capacity low-profile pockets hold plenty of videocassettes or batteries. Its ergonomically-shaped curved contour and six layers of protection safeguard the camera. The CCC-2 features linked zipper sides and handles with slots for threading a seat belt or other strap through to hold the bag securely in place during transport.

MCC-2
The MCC or Maxi Camera Case has all the features of the CCC-1. It has an extra long external padded zippered pocket located on the right side of the bag, which features an external tripod plate pocket. The Modi-Vers divider system allows the user to carry either a large camera with battery and lens, or a small camera with many accessories. APSS Strap included.

KATA's TCCT meets the strict new airline regulations for carry-on bag size*. And its modularity means that when you land it adapts to hold your fully-assembled camera in everyday use. It holds the camera with the battery removed; in some cases the viewfinder must be removed, and with extremely large cameras the lens must be removed as well. The disassembled parts go into padded pouches in the case. To expand the case to its working position, the TCCT has a compartment that lengthens the case and a side compartment to increase its width. The case and the extended compartments are padded and rigid at the same time to protect their delicate and valuable contents.
The included detachable trolley makes it easier to transport the bag through the airport. In narrow check posts (security areas), the trolley can be removed in order to fit Airline Regulations Measuring Box. APSS Strap included.

EXO-33
EXO-33 is KATA's ultimate case for DV production field work. Designed to fit a range of equipment used by the DV market:

Medium-sized camcorders such as the Canon XL-1 and the Panasonic DVC-15, with standard accessories
Small camcorders such as the Sony PD-150, Panasonic DVX100 and JVC GY-DV300 with many accessories

A horizontal partition creates to separate compartments that offer a back service door for easier access. When used to carry a small camera, the flap between compartments is closed.
The TOPIC-10, an extra laptop case, can be added to the back of the EXO-33 if necessary. Extra pouches can also be added, using the MUX On-Bag connectors.

SHELL-03
The SHELL-03 has a unique thermoformed Clam Shell design which offers ultra protection for DV cameras such as the Sony PD150 and PDX10, Panasonic DVX100, JVC GR-DV300, Canon GL2 and XM2, and similar-sized models. Using the Modi-Vers divider system, the case can easily be adjusted to fit your camera with its accessories. An internal padded mesh pocket provides extra storage possibilities without compromising camera protection.

EXO-11 (CCC-1111)
The EXO-11 accommodates a variety of DV and High-8 camcorders. A back "service door" opens a lower compartment that can hold a charger, batteries, and additional tapes. If needed, the lower divider can be removed to create a larger main compartment. Specially designed pouches can be attached to both ends of the bag.
