Times are changing and technology is advancing so rapidly one can hardly keep up. The year 2000 promises to be a challenging, yet rewarding time for the film industry. We know each and every one of you is up to the challenge. More and more filmmakers are promising to do that feature they've been procrastinating on for years and videographers are learning film. Still photographers are going into motion, and NAMI and SMS are and will be here to assist everyone with their dreams.

It's that time again! The year is drawing to a close and the major suppliers are starting to send out their notices about price increases, inventory closures, etc.
Kodak has announced that prices for Color Reversal Camera Films and Black & White Print Films are increasing approximately 2½% effective with orders received after the close of normal business hours on 12/31/99.
Rosco (Gel) will close for inventory January 3-11, 2000. We have a generous supply of gel in stock so this should not affect us. Please plan your orders for gel with us accordingly.

- STEP BY STEP POST PRODUCTION
- Learn the secrets and techniques to good filmmaking that will let you breeze through post without a bead of perspiration.
Don't be Penny Wise and Pound Foolish
Most people are so busy shooting their film they don't give post production ample thought. So many waste money on all the short cuts that are supposed to save money, but really cost more in the end.Don't let yourself be fooled!
Skip the so called short cuts and learn how to really plan for your post during the pre- production. Learn from a professional editor how to prepare for post from day one through shooting and into the editing room. Learn how to communicate with the lab on a daily basis and what information is vital.
SAVE money! DON'T WASTE IT! Have a project shot or in progress, bring it along.
We recommend you take this course prior to budgeting and especially before shooting your film.This class is geared for all filmmakers, directors, producers and editors. Although there will be some AVID editing, it is NOT a traditional Avid editing class. (Avid editing class available upon request)

- Hands-on approach to learning the duties and protocol of a professional camera assistant. Learn the demands of the position as well as the duties of the first, second and loader. Understand the chain of command within the camera department. Learn how to spot problems and overcome them. Know your equipment, how to work with your rental house and what tools of the trade you'll need on the set. Acquire a working knowledge of the challenges and expectations demanded of a Camera Assistant.
