HANDS-ON CHICAGO is an opportunity for the regional community to see and touch some of the most current equipment used in feature film, television and commercial production. On Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., join us for nosh and drinks as we honor Steven Poster, President of the ASC. Throughout both days of the show, some of the vendors will hold seminars on specific pieces of equipment.
Local 600, the International Cinematographers Guild, a show sponsor, will host a panel discussion entitled "New Technologies: Hard Questions". The panel will be moderated by Stephan Poster, President of the ASC and include George Spiro Dibie, ASC and President of Local 600, Pete Biagi, Rusty Burrell, Ted Lichtenheld, Alan Thatcher, Gary Katz, Ben Adams and Jeffrey Blake. Join us for this lively discussion on Saturday morning, at 10:00 A.M.
Trade show hours are Friday, March 8, from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Saturday, March 9, from 10:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. Admission is free; however, only people who are active or involved in the production industry or are qualified students will be admitted. No one under 16 will be admitted. HANDS-ON CHICAGO will take place at Essanay Studio, 1346 North Branch St., Chicago.
