Angenieux premiers a versatile new lens with superior quality and accessibility

With the launch of the world's first Wide Super Zoom, Angenieux has given a new meaning to the word versatility in our industry, combining the widest angle -- F5.3mm (79º), and the longest zoom range -- 12x. Available in 2/3", the new Angenieux 12x5.3 AIF.HR has a range of F 5.3-64mm, reaching F128mm with the built-in 2x range extender.

AIF - Assisted Internal Focus - technology, first introduced by Angenieux, gives instant fluid zoom control and precision focusing capabilities. And HR optics provide the high resolution needed to meet the new digital standards. The Wide Super Zoom is the Zoom of excellence, combining versatility and reliability with an affordable price.

The 12x5.3 AIF.HR also features the fastest aperture in its class -- f/1.7 -- and a design based on the latest technology in glass and coatings. This technology is a product of Angenieux's know-how and expertise in the design and manufacturing of Film lenses -- optics which have become the standard of excellence across the world and in Hollywood. High Resolution optics to meet the ever-increasing standards of digital cameras for all lightweight broadcast applications.

Finally, a new design in ergonomics, with new materials and shape, offers improved protection of essential functions: Return momentary switch, AIF & VTR. The rectangular and adjustable sunshade minimizes light interference and comes with an integrated UV filter, easily removable and replaceable (Ø 105mm). Double focus engravings on the focus ring make it easy to read for the operator. Also a lowered range extender. The grip has an ideal angle for comfort and moisture absorbent protein paint for longevity. The natural color genuine leather strap adds a high class touch.
