Broadcast Series Lens Accessories
The Broadcast Series has been expanding the capabilities of broadcast camerawork since the early 80's.
- Wide Angle Adapter Set
- Videographers choose Century's Wide Angle Adapter Set when they need to go wider. Compact, lightweight, and economical, the Wide Angle Adapter Set is the industry standard. The .7X attaches to the front of a video zoom lens to increase coverage by 30%. Adding the .5X Super Wide to the .7X produces twice the coverage of the lens alone. Like all of Century's wide angle attachments, the Wide Angle Adapter Set requires no exposure compensation.
Century Wide Angle Adapters simply attach to the front of your zoom lens.

An optional Lens Shade/Filterholder accepts either a 4"X5" or Panavision®-size filterholder.
- .8X Zoom-Thru Wide Angle Converter
- Here's how to expand a lens' angle of view when the shot requires zooming.
The .8X Wide Converter attaches quickly to the front of a zoom lens, effectively shortening its focal length while maintaining full zoom capabilities.
Attach the .8X to the front of a lens for 20% more coverage when set to wide angle, telephoto or anywhere in between.
Like Century's other wide angle attachments, the .8X reduces minimum object distance (MOD) allowing the camera to move considerably closer to the subject while maintaining focus.

- Super Fisheye Adapter
- The Super Fisheye produces an extraordinary degree of barrel distortion and a magnification factor of approximately .55X. For example, adding the Super Fisheye to a 15X8, results in a 116º horizontal angle of view -- a remarkable 145º when measured diagonally.
- 2X Tele-Extender
- When you can't get close enough to fill the frame with a distant subject, mount a Century Tele-Extender between the camera and zoom to double the lens' focal length. A 2X Tele-Extender turns a 9-144mm zoom, for example, into a 18-288mm zoom in seconds.
Characterized by shallow depth of field, Century Tele-Extenders make it easy to isolate a subject from foreground and background. Tele-Extenders require a two-stop exposure compensation.
- 1.6X Tele-Converter
- The 1.6X Tele-Converter attaches quickly to the front of your lens, shifting focal length range in the telephoto direction. Unlike internal and external tele-extenders, the Tele-Converter requires no exposure compensation.
If your lens has a built-in tele-extender, you'll achieve the longest reach possible by adding the 1.6X Tele-Converter and using the lens' built-in extender. For example, engaging the internal 2X extender converts an 8-120mm f/1.7 lens to a 16-240mm f/3.4, with a two-stop light loss.
Mount a 1.6X Tele-Converter onto the front of the lens and the resulting focal length range is an astounding 26-384mm f/3.4 with no additional light loss.
- Achromatic Diopters
- Century's Achromatic Diopters (a.k.a. macro zoom attachments) provide video zoom lenses with more close-up range and magnification, while maintaining zoom capabilities-without compromising image quality. Two highly corrected glass elements minimize chromatic aberration and distortion.

Essential for focusing tightly on a small subject with your zoom-in tabletop, miniature and flat held photography -- Achromatic Diopters reduce minimum object distance (MOD).
