IF Series for Internal Focus Lenses

The new IF Series both technically and aesthetically compliments IF Broadcast, Pro and Pro Classic lenses. Unlike standard add-ons, Century IF accessories are truncated or the top and bottomfor reduced weight, more practical shading, better balance and access to a wide range of filtering options.

New Telephoto Cine to B-4 Lens Mount Adapter

Use Century or Universal mounted 35mm cine telephoto lenses with Sony SD or HD cameras such as the HDW700 series and HDW-F900 24P HDCAM®

Although it sounds like a simple task, the successful marriage of a video camera and a 35mm lens is quite an achievement. Why? Inherent in the design of a film lens is an air space between the rear mount and the focal plane. In that same space a video camera features a prism to divide the light into 3 color channels. When that film lens is put directly on a video camera, the result is increased chromatic and axial aberration caused by the prism block.

Century's new Telephoto Cine to B-4 Lens Mount Adapter which installs between the camera and lens, employs optical elements to correct this. It's ideal for existing cine-converted Canon or Nikon telephotos in focal lengths of 200mm and above.
