A professional range of lighting supports for film, video, TV, studio, outside broadcast, and photographic lighting has been developed and built by Manfrotto -- the world's leading manufacturer of camera tripods and lighting stands.

Based on unrivalled experience of the needs of the lighting technician, it combines innovative and pain-staking design with advanced production technology ensuring quality products unmatched for performance and value. Totally comprehensive, the Avenger range provides an answer to every lighting support and mounting requirement in the studio or on location. It includes lightweight stands for kits, baby stands and juniors, versatile Combos, overheads and heavy duty wind-ups, multi-purpose Avenger Century stands as well as accessories and mounting equipment of both traditional and new design.

The many well-planned built-in features will be appreciated by professionals everywhere. Typical of the overall care taken in product development are such items as captive lock-off knobs that cannot get lost, sockets with rust proof dachromatic inserts to ensure efficient screw entry, high efficiency brake shoe systems which operate in all weather conditions, legs that fit and adjust where you want them, and interchangeability of many parts.

Other important constructional features are the use of larger diameter tubes for extra strength and stability, plus extra high quality finish to all parts to ensure complete protection even in the worst exterior conditions.

The innovative design on the Century stand base allows individual legs to be set at any angle, and can be positioned in locations not possible with classic stands.

Century Stands

Avenger Century Stands -- the first choice when it comes to supporting flags and scrims but equally at home supporting luminaires.

The new Century Stands are made from hi-tensile chrome steel saving 10% in weight and have a redesigned universal top stud for greater compatibility with a wider range of lighting equipment and accessories. In addition, the riser column has been redesigned to virtually eliminate the possibility of pinched fingers. And, to accommodate industry demands for taller stands, Avenger has now added a 60" model with Classic, Sliding Leg or Detachable bases.

The next generation Century Stands retain all of Avenger's trademark features including: triple–plated marine-spar-grade finishes; captive T-handles that won't fall out or get lost; secure, screw-less brake shoe mechanisms that protect the risers; tough, deep set plastic feet; and field serviceable parts.
