OConnor Fluid Heads

OConnor designed and built the world's first fluid head in 1949. Since then, an entire industry has grown up around the invention that started with one man's idea. OConnor 2575B/2575BV Fluid Heads

The fluid head is the heart of any camera support system. OConnor has designed and manufactured these precision instruments for almost fifty years. Infinitely adjustable pan drag, tilt drag, and counterbalance are standard features on OConnor's 2575B fluid heads. Numerous bases, adapters, and mounting plates make OConnor the most versatile fluid heads available today.

OConnor fluid heads feature infinitely adjustable drag settings on both the pan and tilt functions. The adjustment knobs are located for easy accessibility, and have a numeric indicator that shows the amount of drag being applied. Pan and tilt lock levers are large and conveniently located.

The 2575B is the ultimate in fluid head design. This head will support up to 150 pounds with full counterbalance. A selection of mounting plates, handles, bases and accessories make this head the right choice when you cannot compromise.

The 2575BV (video) has a modified pan fluid section for operators who prefer a lighter pan drag adjustment.

The 2575 heads have a counterbalance scale with an easy to read numeric percentage indicator for quick, repeatable adjustments. The counterbalance adjustment knob extends to a crank handle for fast action, and incorporates a torque limit ratchet to reduce pressure at the stops.

Ultimate DV & DVS Fluid Heads

The Ultimate DV and DVS fluid heads offer the same features as OConnor's award-winning 2575B fluid head in a compact, lightweight package ideal for DVCam / DVCPro camcorder users. The patented pan and tilt fluid drag system generates more true-fluid drag than many larger fluid heads, yet is infinitely and repeatably adjustable down to a 'zero' setting necessary for stable 'whip' movements. Counterbalancing is also infinitely adjustable, which enables 'tuning' of the head to precisely neutralize the camcorder's weight throughout the entire tilt range. No competing support products of any size can match the Ultimate DV and DVS features and level of performance for DVCam / DVCPro requirements.

Ultimate 2060 Fluid Head

The Ultimate 2060 fluid head also offers the same features as OConnor's award-winning 2575B fluid head in a compact, lightweight package. The patented pan & tilt fluid drag system generates more true-fluid drag than many larger fluid heads, yet is infinitely and repeatably adjustable down to a 'zero' setting necessary for stable 'whip' movements. Counterbalancing is also infinitely adjustable, which enables 'tuning' of the head to precisely neutralize the camera's weight throughout the entire tilt range. The Ultimate 2060 has a new platform locking pin to hold the platform horizontal during camera changes.

A collapsible counterbalance crank handle and numerical readout make repeatable counterbalance easy.
